Beth Rhodes, MD, completed Otolaryngology - Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Residency training in 1995 and is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology. Throughout her training, she demonstrated specific interest and aptitude for cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. She has conducted research that resulted in the development of a skin and tissue flap capable of repairing large defects in the neck and facial areas; she received a research prize for this by the American Academy of Otolaryngology.
In 1995, Dr. Rhodes established the Aesthetic Surgery Institute, serving southern Maryland, northern Virginia and southern Delaware. She has introduced many cosmetic surgical and aesthetics procedures previously unavailable in the region. Dr. Rhodes regularly writes articles of relevance to those considering aesthetic surgery, and lectures about cosmetic, cancer, & reconstructive surgery; she has recently been accepted to complete a Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration.
Dr. Rhodes combines her surgical expertise with a refined artistic sense and true individualized compassion for the emotional needs of patients, whether removing a small skin lesion or performing complex reconstructive surgery after cancer ablation.
Dr. Rhodes continually updates her training and background in order to be able to provide the most up-to-date services, while maintaining proficiency performing more standardized procedures. Her credo is "less is more," and she emphasizes conservative and non-surgical treatments when discussing more interventional procedures and treatments with patients.
