- Cool Touch Cool Lipo Laser-Assisted Liposuction
- Liposuction is one of the most highly requested cosmetic surgical procedures, but standard large cannula, large incision liposuction is associated with significant post-operative pain, swelling, bruising, and lost work time. Everyone who has an interest in liposuction should therefore be aware of laser-assisted liposuction, or laser lipolysis, for treatment and sculpting of stubborn fat deposits in areas such as chin and jowls, upper arms, bra bulge, abdomen, love handles, saddle bags, and inner thighs. The COOL LIPO laser fiber, less than half a millimeter in diameter, is gently passed through fat deposits and dissolves them into an oily liquid. A suction cannula, also less than a millimeter in diameter, is then used to remove this liquid. COOL LIPO also can be used to tighten skin, which does not occur in standard liposuction. COOL LIPO can be done in an office setting under local anesthesia and a light sedative, rather than in an operating room under deep anesthesia. COOL LIPO patients are able to go home, rest for a day or two, and then resume daily activities.

- Fractional Laser Resurfacing — Encore UltraPulse
- CO2 laser skin resurfacing is accepted as the gold standard for skin rejuvenation, deeper lines, abnormal pigmentation, acne and other scars, and skin laxity. An idea whose time has finally come, the handpeice that delivers the laser light distributes the energy so that not all of the skin is treated at one time. Untreated skin heals the treated skin much faster, so post-treatment redness is greatly reduced over standard laser resurfacing to peeling that occurs over the two or three days post-treatment. Depending upon the pre-treatment condition of the skin, one to four treatments may be recommended.

- Levulan-Blue Light (Blu-U) Acne treatment
- This treatment is truly revolutionary and can achieve results in patients with acne comparable to Accutane, but without the severe systemic side effects known to occur with that product. A skin prep is required, along with medical skin care for home use, and then a series of blue light treatments is carried out. Levulan solution is applied to the skin for about an hour before the treatment. The blue light is shone onto the face for about ten minutes, and over the next several weeks the acne bacteria are eliminated. Sun exposure is not allowed for seventy-two hours after each treatment, and sunscreen afterward is necessary. Short term skin reaction to this procedure ranges from minimal to marked peeling and redness.

- IPL Pulsed Light Skin Rejuvenation
- In a flash of light, brown and red pigment along with fine lines and even pores and Rosacea are treated with the IPL Photofacial. A cool gel is applied to the skin. The wavelength of the light interacts with the pigment in the brown and red areas on the face and the energy in the light causes the pigment to lift to the surface and disappear in the case of brown discoloration on face and hands; and to shrink and disappear in the case of red Rosacea pigment and veins on the face. Collagen stimulation by the pulsed light source helps to shrink pores and even out skin texture and tone. We recommend a series of three treatments for maximum benefit and results. Appropriate medical skin care and a prep of chemical peels and microdermabrasions are also recommended. For more intense resurfacing, CO2 Active FX will be recommended

- Lightsheer, VascuLight™ & Pulsed Light Hair Removal
- Near-infrared laser VascuLight™ and Light Sheer® Laser technologies allow reaction with the pigment in a hair and hair follicle, leading to inactivation of the follicle. With treatment, the hair falls out in ten to fourteen days. It is important to realize that only the actively growing hairs are treated with any one application of the laser. An average of four to five treatments to facial or body sites results in FDA-approved permanent hair reduction. Light hairs may now be better treated with applications of Meladyne or Vanaqa to the hair, which darkens the pigment a bit and slows hair growth, making it more susceptible to the laser's wavelength.

- VascuLight™ & Pulsed Light Vein Treatment for Port Wine Stains, Spider & leg veins,Telangiectasias and Hemangiomas
- A multiple treatment course with laser and IPL pulsed light therapy lightens or eliminates the red and purple blush of congenital vascular malformations, and closes spider veins and small feeder veins. The skin is somewhat sun sensitive after the treatment, so sunscreens are necessary. For larger vein spiders and the small, asymptomatic veins that supply the spiders, one or more sclerotherapy injections may be recommended in conjunction with laser treatment.

- Pulsed Light & Laser Tattoo Removal
- It is generally acknowledged that tattoos are resistant to removal. However, good to very good results may be achieved with repeated treatments with pulsed light and laser technologies. Some scarring may result, but this may be treatable subsequently with other types of laser resurfacing of the scar.
