Skin Care Procedures & Nutritional Supplements
The Aesthetic Surgery Institute is dedicated to offering the safest and most effective cosmetic and reconstructive surgical procedures and aesthetic skin & body care services possible by performing newly available procedures, along with refinement of current treatments and services.
Current Skin Care procedures offered by The Aesthetic Surgery Institute include:
- ASI's Signature Peel-Abrasion
- Peel-Abrasion delivers immediate results for smoother, glowing, more beautiful skin. The peel-abrasion procedure includes a glycolic gel chemical peel followed by microdermabrasion. The highly effective yet non-irritating peel combines chemical peel with microdermabrasion, facial and neck massage, serum and/or masque application, and finishes with a moisturizing sunscreen. More skin improvement occurs with a six treatment series.

- BioMedic LHA Chemical Peel
- This is a series of chemical peels, that when combined with skin care products to prepare the skin, promotes intense skin rejuvenation and acne treatment but with essentially no down time. Patients should plan for a series of six peels with pre- and post-peel skin care.

- Therapeutic Peels for Face & Body
- Many of the beneficial effects of deep skin peeling and resurfacing can be achieved over a series of skin treatments that exfoliate the upper layers of the skin and cause collagen stimulation in the deeper layers. Glycolic and salicylic acids are extremely effective treatment for acne skin and blocked pores on or off the face. Salicylic acid is an effective treatment for hyperpigmentation and acne. If the treatments are not followed up by a continuous home treatment skin care to continue exfoliation and stimulation, however, the effects of the superficial peels become temporary. For that reason, home treatment regimens for acne, scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage, and pigment are prescribed in addition to a series of six in-office superficial peels with or without microdermabrasion.

- Microdermabrasion
- Microdermabrasion with the Diamond Peel and Mega-Peel evenly and safely exfoliates the skin without downtime. Enjoy a treatment prior to a social function—the skin has a wonderful glow and feels very soft and smooth after treatment. Microdermabrasion finely resurfaces the skin when applied in a series of six treatments. Occasional refresher treatments are recommended once the patient’s skin care goals are met. When a more aggressive treatment is necessary, Peel-abrasion will be recommended. Prescription skin care is recommended to maximize results.

- Wraps, Masques, Serums & Skin Enhancers
- Complement and improve the results achievable with chemical peel and microdermabrasion techniques. Detoxify, relax, and treat inflammation that accompanies acne and post-operative skin swelling. Enhance treatment of hyperpigmentation, redness, and scars. See our aesthetician for recommendations for these products.

Current Nutritional Supplements offered by The Aesthetic Surgery Institute include:
- Isotonix Supplements
- Isotonic formulas eliminate the need for digestion and breakdown of vitamins prior to absorption, so more of the nutrient is absorbed. All fluids in the human body exert a pressure across membranes called the osmotic pressure. In order for a substance to be used in the body's metabolism, it must be isotonic and equal to the body’s osmotic pressure. Isotonix® dietary supplements are formulated to be isotonic to body fluids so they can be absorbed rapidly and completely.

- Nutrametrix Supplements
- As a result of your lifestyle counseling, we will prescribe high-quality vitamin supplements and anti-oxidants for improved nutrition, digestion, and heart health. Especially recommended are our B complex plus C, ORAC, OPC-3, and calcium supplements.

Enhancing your results
After facial plastic surgery and in-office peeling and resurfacing there are many steps that can be taken to enhance your results. First, use home treatment prescription kits to prep the skin and maintain the results. This is also the best time to stop smoking! We can help you with that. Increase your water intake to help clarify your skin. Avoid the summer sun unless you wear a sunscreen. We have prescription sunscreens which are good for your skin. Take mild to moderate exercise several days a week. We will assist you with setting up a program at a local gym, if you like.
